Platform

Activate announcement per user group

This update is relevant for application managers

Application managers now have the option to create and activate an announcement themselves. The announcement can be made visible to a target group. An announcement can be 200 characters maximum. By means of a checkbox the announcement can be activated, after which it is visible for the selected target group.

For example, clients or therapists can be made aware of a new functionality in the platform or a platform-specific change.

New user-friendly set-up for two-step authentication (2FA)

This update is relevant for alle users

Logging in with two-factor authentication (2FA) is now more user-friendly and accessible.

2FA optional

If 2FA is enabled and indicated as optional the user will start the 2FA with an introduction page about 2FA first. On this page the user will find an explanation on how it works before making a choice to set up 2FA immediately or to do so at a later time.

Set up two-factor authentication

Two choices to set up 2FA:

  • Via an authentication app
This is the most reliable option and we therefore recommend using this method. Moreover, there are no additional costs associated with using a free authentication app.

When using the app, a QR code is scanned or a code is entered into the authentication app. After this, the user receives an authentication code to set up the 2FA and log in to the platform.
Via authentication app
  • Via SMS
This option involves additional costs for the healthcare organisation. This is for sending the SMS. Furthermore, this method is less reliable because the user is dependent on a telecom provider to receive the SMS.

After entering a mobile phone number, the user receives the authentication code via an SMS. After this the user can enter the code and log in to the platform.

Via SMS

Personal Recovery Codes

Recovery codes are important for the user to access their account if the previously chosen method (authentication app or SMS), for whatever reason, cannot be used.

Recovery codes are personal and it is important to keep them in a safe place.

Recovery codes

The use of 2FA is becoming more important every day to keep personal data safe. Does your organization not (yet) use this functionality and would you like to? Please contact your account manager to ask about the possibilities and costs.

Improvements in navigation of mobile modules for therapists

This update is relevant for therapists

Where previously the therapists saw 3 columns when browsing through a client's module there are now 2 columns. To make the relation between the modules, chapters and pages more clear they are now combined into one column.

Details have also been added that make navigating the mobile modules easier:
  • The status of chapters and modules is displayed textually (e.g., 'Active chapter' or 'Upcoming module')
  • The chapters and page items have a different style and can therefore be distinguished from each other
  • Color use is consistent
  • An upcoming module in the module list has a generic module icon. The active module in the list is indicated by the icon of a running person.
  • Upcoming modules and chapters have a gray background color in addition to the textual message 'Upcoming'.
These are the first changes to the mobile modules that practitioners can already notice. In the coming months, practitioners can expect more changes to the interface of the mobile modules. For example, changes on the feedback page.

Technical update

Now also Azure Active Directory synchronization

This update is relevant for application managers

An Azure Active Directory synchronization is now possible. The Azure Active Directory administrator can add/delete/activate/deactivate users in the Azure Active Directory and assign them to groups. The users and groups are synchronized to the Minddistrict platform in an ad-hoc or daily synchronization job. Application managers can see a preview of the changes done by the synchronization.
